A South African YouTuber caused, well, a bit of a scene at Sandton City last weekend when he pretended to be Justin Bieber.
The elaborate prank was incredibly well planned, right down to faking the Biebs’ tattoos!
As you can imagine, shoppers at Sandton City were EXCITED. There was screaming, running, high-pitched voices — but no throwing of underwear as far as we could tell. They even got mall security involved.
The brains behind the prank was South African YouTuber Aidan Atcheson and he had a lot of people fooled. To be fair to all the people running after him, he did have a team of bodyguards and fake fans fueling the fan fire.

A few points before you watch the video:
- No need to watch to the end, but the crowds get bigger as the video progresses and mall security comes on the scene at about 3:55.
- And then at about 7:30 the guy describing what it felt like to touch Justin Bieber is pretty funny.
- The person shouting Justin over and over in the video is really annoying, so you may want to turn the sound down.)
Would you have been fooled, or just annoyed that the mall was even more chaotic than usual?
