Fashion vocab has been taken to the next level
Gone are the days when we could call a boot, a boot. Now we have to describe the kind of boot (and its function) in the title.
Just as you figure out that a baecation is different to a vacation, you have to learn the meanings behind all the new, weird and wonderful terms in the fashion industry.

See now, buy now
Popularised by a few fashion designers, ‘see now, buy now’ refers to the concept of purchasing ready-to-wear runway looks out of season. Fashion shows predominantly happen ahead of a season. Now-a-days, designers are selling winter runway looks in summer (and vice versa).
It’s all about getting ahead of the trends.
Believe it or not, one of the forerunners for this trend making a comeback is Donald Trump’s wife, Melania. A pussy bow is usually a bow tied around a sheer blouse.
You can create this look yourself using a silk scarf, or you can buy a blouse that already has the bow detail sewed into the design.
No, we are not saying wear your kid’s teddy bears as coats. A teddy coat refers to the fabric that a coat is made from. That warm fuzzy material, that’s the new coat style. It can add bulk to your frame, so just be conscious of your shape if you want to try this style out.
Basics, as we use to know them, were nude heels, black pants and a blazer. The new term – bae-sics – refers to borrowing trendy menswear and incorporating those items into your outfit. So it’s literally wearing your boyfriend’s jeans or oversized shirts. It’s economical and cute (well, depending on your guy’s style)!
Surprisingly, this term is relatively new to the scene. An e-tailer is a retailer that does not have a traditional brick and mortar premise. Their business is purely online. It’s just a fancy way of saying ‘online shop’, really.

Gone are the days of simple stud earrings, the trend is going towards more and more complicated ear accessories. An ear jacket is a three-piece earring that often loops around the ear, the way a jacket would wrap around your body. They are pretty, but prepare to spend 10 minutes putting on your earrings in the morning.
The granny shoe trend is just not going away. A glove shoe is a modification of this trend: same short block heel, but a slightly different shape to the actual shoe. Think of it as a ballet pump, with a block kitten heel. Love it or hate, now we have an excuse to buy comfortable shoes and still be on trend.
