Make a night at home watching films with the family a little more memorable in lockdown. How, you ask? With sweet, home-made movie-night treats, of course. We’ve got two fabulous recipes to share, plus a great, family-friendly idea for what to drink. All that’s left to do is pick the movie (or two!) and you’re ready for a night of fun!
First, set up a hot chocolate bar
Create a help-yourself station and leave everyone to top hot drinks with their favourite treats. Leave out a tub of cocoa powder and bowls of sugar, cinnamon and mini marshmallows – and anything else you think will make a tasty addition to hot chocolate – on a wooden board. Preheat the milk carefully over low heat and pour it into a couple of thermos flasks, so it will keep warm. Leave the flasks next to the hot chocolate bar and the family can dig in as soon as they’re ready.
Top tip! For a really indulgent movie-night treat, let everyone melt chunks of chocolate into hot milk to create a spectacular cuppa!
