Colouring in is all the rage at the moment; it’s a great way to relax and declutter your mind. Not to mention that you end up with a beautiful work of art when you’re done — win-win!
We all know that colouring in is not only a great way to occupy kids, it also hones their pencil grasp, helps their hand-eye coordination and improves their planning skills. But did you know it has benefits for adults, too? By focusing on the repetitive task of colouring, you forget other things that may be worrying you (kids’ homework, what to make for dinner, email replies, work deadlines…) and get in touch with your emotions — similar to the process of meditating.
To celebrate our amazing South African heritage, we’ve put together a collection of free colouring pictures of some of the incredible wildlife we’re lucky enough to have in this country. We’ve got free downloads for kids and adults, so print them out, grab your pencils and kokis and get creative with the family. Just click on a picture or link, print the pictures and clear a space on the dining room table!
