If you’ve left Father’s Day until the last minute, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with this quick, easy and budget friendly gift idea.
Instead of stressing about what to get Dad, grab a few old jam jars, fill them with treats, and voila, the perfect last-minute Father’s Day gift!
What you will need
- Large jam jars
- Acrylic paint
- Paint brush
- Chalk labels
- Patterned washi tapes
How to make your last-minute Father’s Day gift
1. Remove the lids from the jam jars and make sure they are clean and dry. Paint the lids with acrylic paint and leave them to dry completely.
2. Stick a chalk label onto each jar, making sure there are no ‘bubbles’. Write a message on the label with chalk.
3. Stick some patterned washi tape around the jar, above or below the chalk label (or both). You can also decorate the lids with thinner tape.
4. Fill the jars with sweets, nuts, biscuits, or other goodies that Dad will like, and replace the lids tight.
