What you will need to make a leather strap shelf
- 50cm long piece of wood
- 140cm leather belt without holes or thick strip of leather
- Punch plier
- Ruler or tape measure
- Hooks (self adhesive or screw-in)
How to make a leather strap shelf
1. Use sandpaper to remove any rough edges from the wood and ensure it has a smooth finish. Cut the belt (or leather strip) in half and measure 2cm from each end for where the holes will go.
2. Make a hole at each end using the punch plier. You can widen the holes as needed by punching a little more from around the first hole. Hang the leather straps in place on your wall hooks and slot the piece of wood between the loops to finish. Take care not to overload the shelf.
