Paper crafts for kids are super trendy right now — and with good reason: they’re cheap, hone little ones’ fine motor skills and often the end results are pretty enough to be displayed in your home.
These DIY ballerina paper cut-outs look gorgeous dotted around a mantelpiece with fairy lights and a few baubles over Christmas. When the festive season is over, string them up and use them to decorate a child’s bedroom.
What you will need:
✶ Template ✶ Coloured paper
✶ Pencil ✶ Scissors
4 simple steps and you will have the perfect dancing ballerina paper cut-outs!
1. Download and print the ballerina paper cut out template.
2. Fold the paper in half and position both the ballerina and skirt template on the edge, so the middle is on the fold. Draw around the templates lightly in pencil.
3. Cut out the ballerina and semi-circle skirt, fold the skirt in half one or two more times, then cut out shapes, lines and pretty edges, and open up.
4. Cut a slit in the top so you can get the ballerina through the skirt. Push the ballerina body through the skirt, straighten up and display.
The festive season is here — let’s make it personal and filled with family fun!
