The warmer months of the year offer you the opportunity to turn your home into a wondrous place. Here are some great ideas on how to use spring bulbs to make your home a floral wonderland.
Create a spot of sunshine
Take as many vibrant yellow daffodils as you can fit in and add country cottage charm with rustic planters. This old weathered bench makes a focal point surrounded by vintage-style enamelware and woven baskets filled with contrasting pansies.
Chic bulb box
An old fruit crate easily doubles as a planter. Line it with plastic and punch a few holes through for drainage. Add a layer of gravel or broken crocks, then fill with compost — push the hyacinths in, but keep the tops of bulbs exposed to get this look.

For your special spring lunch
This layered look of tulips with a leaf tied around the outside of the glass bottle makes a lovely welcome. Use glass bottles in varying heights filled with different coloured tulips — this helps get the beautiful contrast effect of the lime stems.
Choose classic china
Find pretty crockery cheaply in charity shops — willow-pattern is one of our favourites. Fill a teacup with compost, cut the stems of you favourite flowers short and push them in firmly. Finish with a scattering of moss on top. Keep damp and this super cute flower arrangement will last a week!
Spring hyacinth bowl
This lovely idea brings the outdoors in, and you get to see the bulb as well as the flowers. You need a large glass vessel to put them in and keep the root balls slightly damp.
