We know how busy you are as a mom — whether you’re the stay-at-home kind or working from home or in an office. Here are 5 phone apps that will make your life that much easier.
Being a mom is such a challenging job, with an endless list of tasks to complete, from running errands, ensuring that the kids’ needs are met to helping with homework. Use this list of handy phone apps to make staying on top of everything and taking care of your family easier.
1. Pick n Pay
The Pick n Pay app is free and lets you manage your account from anywhere and everywhere. You can keep track of your Smart Shopper points, view your shopping history, see current promotions and view or use vouchers. You’ll really appreciate the convenience the app brings, with features such as getting cash back on your card, or airtime vouchers, in exchange for points. Other services include receiving travel rewards with Avios or making purchases at Webtickets.
Are you too busy to shop around for deals in store? Download the PriceCheck app (iOS or Android) and compare the best deals on an extensive range of products before heading out. PriceCheck says it has more than 30 million products listed, and you can sift through the range by category or location. It’s also useful when you’re in-store and want to scan a barcode. Results include prices, descriptions, images and user reviews.
3. Cozi Family Organiser
Cozi Family Organiser has won the award for Best Family App in the Appy awards — and for good reason. It has a colour-coded shared calendar to view individual or family schedules, set reminders, share shopping lists, see items added by family members, and create and edit to-do lists. Your whole family can share one account, but each individual can access it using their own email addresses. Another bonus is the cross-platform support.
4. Home Remedies
For moms who rely on home remedies to keep the family in good health, the Home Remedies app (iOS or Android) will surely come in handy. It has more than 50 recipes made from herbs, vegetables, spices or fruit, that claim no nasty side effects. There are options for colds, coughs, acne, hair loss, and more. You can also sift through categories aimed at kids, women, or those suffering from obesity and diabetes, to name a few.
5. Dictate Now!
For the moms who always have their hands full, the Dictate Now! app is a life-saver. We all know that typing takes time, so why not just speak to your phone? If you are on any app, just hold down the menu or search button on your device and say “dictate now to clipboard”. The Dictate Now! app will then listen to what you say next and copy it to the clipboard, which you can then paste into whatever app you are in. Or, you can run the app on its own. (*You may need to check this functionality according to your specific device).
