You can make a difference this World Food Day, 16 October, with KNORR and FoodForward SA by simply sharing #ShareAMealSA.
“This World Food Day we are appealing to all foodies who would usually post a recipe or appetising food image to turn their food posts from a virtual meal into a real meal by sharing #ShareAMealSA. It’s a chance for everyone to do their bit to help stop hunger,” says Keegan Eichstadt from KNORR.
#ShareAMealSA is part of a global campaign to help make nutritious food more accessible to everyone on a daily basis.
“Sadly one-third of food produced in South Africa gets dumped in landfills while over 14 million people go hungry,” states FoodForward SA Managing Director Andy Du Plessis.
In South Africa, KNORR is joining forces with FoodForward SA, an organisation that redistributes food to registered NPOs in SA, to help give healthy meals to children in need.
So, what do you have to do to get involved?
- Next time you post a picture of your food on social media make sure you use the #ShareAMealSA
- And KNORR partnered with FoodForward SA will donate a real meal to a child for every post
If you’re already posting food pics on the daily, then this is a wonderful way to make your time on social media count!
