The best way to make sure you reach all your goals and keep those resolutions is to get organised!
Making lists, knowing exactly where everything is and feeling more in control and on top of things will prevent the usual excuses from creeping in and getting in the way of an easy life and a happy you. Here are a few tips and buys for a more organised you…
1. Start with your cupboards.
It’s a new year, so start fresh by getting rid of all those clothes you don’t wear, utensils you never use and food that’s way past its sell-by date (yip, that means you’ll need to get into that pantry!). Now make what’s left more accessible by using cupboard steps, draw organisers and some nifty hangers.
2. Make lists!
Trust us, writing things down and planning ahead makes your days and those pesky grocery shopping trips a lot less stressful. We love a useful planner and can’t survive a day without our diary to make our days that much more convenient — especially when they’re so beautifully designed!
3. Sass up your storage… especially in the kitchen.
These days, there are so many nifty products that will solve your storage problems, so there really is no excuse for forgotten food and for a kitchen that’s an inconvenient working space. When it comes to the fridge, use containers with lids for leftover food. If you have the space, keep veggies that don’t need to be in the fridge in preserving bags — it looks so much nicer and keeps them fresher for longer. Finally, Consol jars are all the rage, and their nifty new jar in a jar makes for super convenient storage, so invest in a bunch of those.
4. Organise that office!
You spend a lot of time in the workplace, so it’s important to keep your office and desk orderly — it’ll prevent you losing important documents and fill your work space with positive vibes. Files, in trays, out trays and drawer organisers are a must for any desk. Add a cute pen holder, filing box and some chalkboard labels so you know what’s potting and you’re good to go!
Tip: Got a chipped mug or jar that’s just too pretty to throw away? Use it as a stationery holder on your desk!
