The award-winning, single vineyard Christina range was named after Christina Van Loveren, foremother of the Retief Family matriarch, who made her way to the Cape of Good Hope in 1699. Her bridal chest, handed down for generations, is proudly displayed in the Van Loveren tasting room.
This heritage range, renowned for its elegant Méthode Cap Classique Brut and Brut Rosé with refined bubbles, also impresses with a refreshing sauvignon blanc which obtained a five star Platter Guide rating this year, a buttery chardonnay, a rich and toasty cabernet sauvignon, a delicate Noble Late Harvest dessert wine and an aromatic shiraz. Try the shiraz with Izelle Hoffman’s ostrich fillet recipe.
The beautiful Van Loveren family estate, grounded in their heritage, is one of South Africa’s leading family-owned wineries with an incredible variety of quality offerings and a welcoming, family-friendly wine farm experience. For more information about Van Loveren, visit their website, or follow them on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
